- Q. Is there a limit on the number of Entries?
- Ans. Yes
- Q. Do I have to go to registration?
- Ans. Yes. Unfortunately, you can’t send someone in your place.
- Q. What do I need to bring with me for registration?
- Ans. After you enter the event, you'll be sent a registration form confirming your entry. You must bring this form along with ID to registration, where you'll be given your race pack, timing chip and race number.
- Q. Can I Enter the Event at Registration on on Sunday 4th?
- Ans. Unfortunately not. We won’t be taking Entries on the day.
- Q. Can I walk the course?
- Ans. Yes. Walkers are welcome in the Half Marathon & Half Marathon Relay. We do not cater for Walkers in the Full Marathon or Full Marathon Relay events.
- Q. Are we running on sand on Bull Island?
- Ans. Yes you will be. It will be just like running on any hard surface. There is a machine used by DCC to manicure the sand so it will be ideal.
- Q. Will I get an official time for my race?
- Ans. Yes. We are using timing chips. You will receive one at Registration. Please ensure you give it back at the Finish line.
- Q. Will I receive a Medal for finishing my distance?
- Ans. Yes! Everyone who finishes will receive a Medal. Relay teams will receive one per person.
- Q. Can I raise funds for any chosen Charity?
- Ans. Yes. We would encourage you to do so.
- Q. Is it possible to get a refund of the entry fee?
- Ans. Unfortunately, no. We cannot refund your fee or defer entry to the following year under any circumstances.
- Q. Is there an age restriction for participants?
- Yes. Under 18’s can only take part in the Irish Multimarathon Half Marathon (team of 3). Participants must be 18 years or older on 28th June 2009. This is in line with the IAAF guidelines.
- Q . Will the course be marked in miles or kilometres?
- Ans. The course is officially measured in km’s, so the marking on the day will also be in km’s.
